List of age related diseases that are improved by one peptide class, GLP-1 like Ozempic and Mounjaro

Hey Peptide Insiders,

I hope you are kicking butt and optimizing with peptides!

I have a strong statement. I think these GLP-1's are one peptide class that will do away with most other medications that pharma profits on.

I realize this is a big statement, but look for yourself. Most of the disease big pharma profits from are downstream effects of obesity and insulin resistance.
If you can eradicate insulin resistance and obesity with one peptide, then the need for all the other medication is gone.

These are the top profitable diseases for big pharma:

  1. Cancer
  2. Diabetes
  3. Cardiovascular diseases
  4. Autoimmune diseases
  5. Neurological Disorders

These are all downstream effects of obesity and being overweight and insulin resistant increase your chances of these disease significantly!

There was study done that looked at how GLP-1's improve all these age related diseases

Diseases Improved by GLP-1 Receptor Agonists (GLP-1 RAs)

Metabolic Diseases

  • Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM):
    • Improves pancreatic β-cell function and insulin sensitivity.
    • Enhances glucose tolerance and stimulates insulin secretion.
  • Obesity:
    • Regulates satiety and suppresses appetite.
    • Delays gastric emptying.
    • Promotes brown remodeling of white adipose tissue, thus enhancing fat burning and weight loss.
  • Osteoporosis:
    • Increases viability of osteoblastic cell lines.
    • Promotes osteoblast differentiation and inhibits adipocyte differentiation.

Neurodegenerative Diseases

  • Alzheimer’s Disease (AD):
    • Enhances insulin signaling in the brain.
    • Reduces amyloid plaque and increases young neurons.
    • Improves memory function and neuronal protection.
  • Parkinson's Disease (PD):
    • Crosses the blood-brain barrier, enhancing neurogenesis.
    • Improves motor and cognitive functions.

Cardiovascular Diseases

  • Vascular Aging:
    • Attenuates ROS-induced endothelial cell senescence.
    • Prevents vascular smooth muscle cells senescence.
    • Improves arterial elasticity and reduces arterial stiffness.
  • Atherosclerosis:
    • Inhibits plaque formation and enhances plaque stability.
    • Reduces inflammatory response and monocyte/macrophage accumulation.
  • Hypertension:
    • Promotes vasodilation and natriuresis.
    • Lowers blood pressure by enhancing nitric oxide production and influencing atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) secretion.

Kidney Diseases

  • Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD):
    • Reduces renal inflammation and oxidative stress.
    • Decreases new-onset albuminuria and lowers DKD event rates.
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD):
    • Associated with less eGFR decline.
    • Reduces broad composite kidney outcomes, including new-onset macroalbuminuria and progression to end-stage kidney disease.

Musculoskeletal Degenerative Diseases

  • Osteoarthritis:
    • Inhibits inflammation-related proteins, protecting against apoptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress.
    • Reduces extracellular matrix degradation in chondrocytes.
  • Sarcopenia:
    • Promotes muscle regeneration and reduces muscle atrophy.
    • Enhances myogenesis and restores disrupted myofibrillar structure.

Other Conditions

  • Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD):
    • Improves hepatic fat accumulation and steatosis.
    • Alleviates hepatic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and insulin resistance.

Psychological Health

  • Mood Disorders:
    • Improves cognitive functions in patients with mood disorders.

These diseases and their improvements are discussed in the article "Novel Insights into the Roles and Mechanisms of GLP-1 Receptor Agonists against Aging-Related Diseases" by Wei Peng et al. (2021).

Now this is a heck of a list for one simple 15 amino acid peptide to accomplish and by doing this they wipe out the need for a host of pharma drugs to treat these diseases.

But Ozempic face?? lol
Get real, this is propoganda, Big Pharma and the Food Industry have profited off our obesity and metabolic mess. They're scared about losing it all do to these "miracle peptides"
Be smart!

Keep rocking and preaching the good news about peptides,
